A time of continued leadership development, faithful service, and mission-focused ministry in Wales.
We are pleased to announce that the British Union Conference, in consultation with the Welsh Mission Officers, has agreed to appoint Pastor Adriana Fodor as designated Welsh Mission Executive Secretary for this interim period. This decision has also been endorsed by the Welsh Mission Executive Committee.
Pastor Adriana is already known to many across the Welsh Mission through her faithful pastoral ministry, including her service to the Carmarthen and Ystrad Mynach churches, and her wider contribution to Personal Ministries. Her ministry has reflected a deep love for God, a passion for discipleship, and a diligent commitment to strengthening the Church in Wales.
Her own faith journey is a testimony to God’s leading. Having come from an Orthodox Christian background into Adventist ministry, Pastor Adriana has spoken warmly about the importance of faith, witness, and respecting the journey through which God leads His people. Throughout her ministry, she has encouraged members not merely to carry the burdens of life, but to continue moving towards Jesus.
The appointment also reflects a deliberate commitment to developing leadership capacity, institutional knowledge, and administrative experience within the Welsh Mission. At this important time, it is valuable for the Mission to strengthen those who already understand its churches, communities, pastoral needs, and mission opportunities. Pastor Adriana’s appointment will therefore support both the immediate needs of the Mission and the longer-term development of leadership within Wales.
As the Welsh Mission continues preparing for Session, supporting local churches, and seeking God’s guidance for the future, the reminder remains that leadership within God’s Church is not simply about office or responsibility, but about faithful service, humble dependence on God, and a willingness to build up the body of Christ.
As Scripture reminds us:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23).
Members are invited to pray for Pastor Adriana as she takes up this responsibility. Continued prayers are also requested for Pastor Max McKenzie-Cook, Interim President of the Welsh Mission, the Welsh Mission Executive Committee, pastors, churches, and members across the field, that together the Mission may move forward with wisdom, unity, and faithfulness.
May God bless Pastor Adriana in this new area of service, and may He continue to guide the Welsh Mission as it serves His mission in Wales.
