The South England Conference (SEC) Health Ministries Department, in partnership with ADRA-UK, is inviting members and communities across the territory to participate in a special 5K fundraising walk on Sunday 5 July at locations near participating churches.
The initiative aims to raise awareness and support for women and girls in developing countries who walk long distances each day to access water – water that is often unsafe and contaminated. For many, these daily journeys can stretch up to six kilometres and may expose them to significant health risks and gender-based violence.
This 5K walk provides an opportunity to stand in solidarity with women and girls facing these challenges, while symbolically walking in their footsteps and supporting practical interventions that improve lives.
Participants are encouraged to contact their local Health Ministries leader or ADRA Ambassador for additional information and to join others across the territory in supporting the humanitarian work of ADRA-UK.
