School of Evangelism takes place in Edinburgh Seventh-day Adventist Church

Edinburgh Seventh-day Adventist Church | Wilfred Masih

“The hold of religion has been stripped back in all sorts of ways…Humanist weddings can take place up a mountain or in the zoo and you can choose to be buried in a woodland without any church involvement” reports The Herald (1st April 2018 edition) on the secularisation of Scotland. Should we be concerned about the spiritual state of this country and how should we respond?

The School of Evangelism at the Edinburgh Seventh-day Adventist Church recently had the privilege of hosting the SEC Director of Church Growth and Adventist Mission, Dr. Wayne Erasmus, for a series of captivating presentations. Held on June 10th and 11th, 2023, these sessions left the attendees inspired and equipped with a deeper understanding of evangelism's significance in today's world.

Dr. Wayne Erasmus, brought his wealth of knowledge and experience to the event, captivating the audience with his powerful insights and thought-provoking messages. With a strong foundation in biblical scholarship and a deep passion for sharing the Gospel, Dr. Erasmus's presentations resonated with both seasoned Christians and those new to the faith.

Furthermore, Dr. Erasmus stressed the significance of authentic relationships as the foundation for effective evangelism. He shared strategies for building trust, developing meaningful connections, and meeting people where they are in their spiritual journey. His presentations challenged attendees to move beyond mere transactions and prioritize long-term discipleship, nurturing individuals in their faith and guiding them towards a deeper relationship with Christ.

Dr. Wayne Erasmus' presentations at the School of Evangelism left an indelible mark on the attendees, inspiring and empowering them to become more effective witnesses of the Gospel. Participants walked away with a renewed sense of purpose, armed with practical tools and a deeper understanding of the role each individual can play in sharing God's love with others.

The Edinburgh SDA Church expressed its gratitude to Dr. Erasmus for his engaging and enlightening presentations. They acknowledged the positive impact his insights will have on their evangelistic endeavours and the broader community. As attendees continue to apply the principles and strategies learned, it is anticipated that these sessions will bear lasting fruit in the growth and outreach efforts of the church.

The event provided a platform for attendees to grow in their understanding and passion for reaching others with the transformative message of Christ.
