“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV).
As I reflect on the recently concluded 10 Days of Prayer, I am reminded that when we pray, we give God permission to do for us what His Word has already affirmed. The apostle Paul was clear about the source of his evangelistic success: “I plant, Apollos, watered, but God gave the increase.” No plans or strategies can be successful without the presence and power of God in our lives. The Holy Spirit is our fuel for the mission.
The Evangelism Resource Centre, located at the British Union Conference office, plays a crucial role in the discipleship process.
