Stanborough School is seeking to appoint a qualified, inspirational and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to start as soon as possible. Working as part of a team of talented and highly motivated teachers, the ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching Religious Education and a commitment to upholding the values and ethos of our school. They will demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge as well as experience teaching KS3-KS5. A mentoring background is preferable but not essential. We are committed to increasing the number of staff from ethnic minorities, across all roles and at all levels, to reflect our diverse student population. Key duties: Teach RE to KS3 and KS4, with the ability to teach KS5 being an advantage. Uphold and promote the school’s values and ethos. Plan, prepare, and deliver high quality, engaging RE lessons in line with the national curriculum and GCSE specifications. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students. Provide appropriate feedback to students and set targets for future progress. Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for all pupils. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and schemes of work. Stay updated with changes in curriculum and exam board specifications. Liaise with parents or guardians on their child’s progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events. Manage classroom resources and budget efficiently. Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor. Facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
