The beginning of June saw the congregations of Paisley and Faifley churches unite for a joyous and uplifting musical fellowship at Paisley Church.
The youth from Paisley, skillfully led the programme, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow throughout the afternoon.
The gathering opened with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome and a brief devotion inspired by Psalm 100. The musical offerings began with a beautiful piano performance of "Let the Ancient Words Impart," setting the tone for the event.
The programme featured a variety of performances, including children’s sweet voices singing "Jesus, Worthy Is Your Name," and a touching solo performance of "God Is Too Wise to Be Mistaken," which moved the congregation.
A Ukrainian choir brought heavenly harmonies, inviting the entire congregation to join them in singing a powerful hymn in Ukrainian. Their performance was certainly a highlight of the day, filling the church with unity and joy.
The musical talents continued with a sibling duo from Paisley performing "Lord, I Need an Undivided Heart," followed by a youth soloist singing the stirring piece "King of Kings." A trio from Faifley energised the audience with their powerful performance, and an impromptu quartet quickly formed to fulfill the crowd's request for more music.
A brief sermon followed, after which the song service resumed with even more passion. One singer delivered a powerful combination of preaching and song with "It Is Finished," leaving the congregation deeply moved.
Senior members of the church were also represented with a song based on the Great Commission, "Go Ye Therefore and Preach to All Nations" (Matthew 28:19). As the event neared its conclusion, a final, stirring performance by the Ukrainian men's group left the audience in awe.
The event ended with a vote of thanks and a closing prayer. Everyone joined together in singing the closing hymn, "Shall We Gather at the River," leaving with hearts full of joy and inspiration for the week ahead.
