Quotes from Key Leaders
Dr Kirk Thomas, President of the South England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists stated:
“Faith plays an essential role in supporting physical and mental wellbeing. Events like these demonstrate how faith leaders and healthcare professionals can collaborate to serve our communities better and bring about meaningful change. It’s inspiring to see this partnership thrive at the heart of Parliament.”
Matt Turmaine MP, Member of Parliament for Watford, shared:
“It is an honour to host such a pivotal event here at Parliament. The work of One Vision highlights how community-led initiatives, driven by faith and compassion, can address some of the most pressing health challenges. I am proud to see Watford at the forefront of these efforts to promote equity and inclusion.”
Enoch Kanagaraj, Founder and Chief Executive of One Vision, reflected:
“The Bible reminds us in Matthew 25:40, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ This is the foundation of our mission – to serve with compassion and inclusivity. As Ellen G. White said, ‘Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good.’ Today’s event proves that when faith and health unite, we create a transformative impact that uplifts entire communities.”
Looking Ahead
The Faith and Health Network will continue to collaborate with stakeholders to empower communities and champion inclusive health initiatives. This event marked a significant step forward in creating a healthier, more equitable future for all.
