Evangelism is not just a part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, it is at the very heart of our mission. Our collective duty is to share our faith with those around us.
Evangelism is not just a part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, it is at the very heart of our mission. Our collective duty is to share our faith with those around us. Since assuming the role of Evangelism Director last February, I have dedicated myself to prayer, studying the Word of God, and pondering on how to inspire our members to play a more active role in evangelism. Your participation is crucial to our mission.
On Sabbath 13 July, the British Union Conference (BUC), through its Reflecting Hope initiative (Evangelism and Adventist Discovery Centre), will launch its One Million Reasons campaign as featured in the most recent edition of the Messenger (cover and page 2)[1] The General Conference (GC) has designed this Sabbath for Mission Promotion, and here at the Union, we are excited to be part of the GC's programme.
A number of British-based writers were each commissioned to produce a leaflet on subjects such as the Sabbath (The Rest of Your Life), Jesus (The Way, the Truth and the Life), and The Great Controversy (Cosmic Roulette vs God), among 17 others. We have printed 1 million leaflets for distribution free of charge.
One of the most unique and exciting aspects of the Reflecting Hope initiative is our partnership with Adventist World Radio (AWR) for its outreach. This collaboration brings a new dimension to our evangelism efforts, and we are deeply grateful for their support in this endeavour.
How can you get hold of these resources?
The best way to access these resources is by visiting the dedicated page on the Adventist Discovery Centre (ADC) website: https://adventistdiscoverycentre.org/leaflets/
You can order these resources and have them sent to you, or you can arrange to collect them from the BUC office.
Once again, we want to emphasise that these resources are available to you free of charge. This is a testament to our commitment to supporting all churches in their evangelism efforts. We want you to feel supported and encouraged to participate in this endeavour.
Can we use these leaflets later in the year for our campaign?
The launch date of One Million Reasons is Sabbath 13 July, but the campaign will continue for the rest of the year, so you will have ample opportunity to order these resources. As we won't be reprinting this batch of leaflets, we encourage you to order your supplies before they are all gone.
You have ONE MILLION REASONS to tell someone about your hope in Jesus Christ.
Don't delay!
