How Generosity Is Transforming Our School Community

Sally Aguiar, Stanborough Primary School
5 March 2026

In recent months, Stanborough Primary School has been blessed by the kindness and generosity of families, churches near and far, and supporters who believe in investing in children. Through donations and gifts, we have been able to create spaces that nurture joy, development, and resilience, even when the weather refuses to cooperate.

Two recent examples highlight this generosity. Our wet play provision, funded by the Home School Association (HSA), and new soft play equipment for our Early Years department, provided through a separate donation, have made a significant difference. With recent weeks of heavy rain, these indoor play opportunities have become an essential part of daily school life. Instead of being confined to classrooms, children are able to move, explore, and play safely indoors.

These spaces support not only physical wellbeing, but also emotional regulation, social development, and overall happiness, all of which are vital for learning. The impact has been remarkable. Children return to class calmer, more focused, and ready to engage. Laughter, teamwork, and creativity now fill areas that once served simply as places to wait out bad weather.

The commitment of our parent body continues to strengthen what we are able to offer our pupils. We are deeply grateful for the time, energy, and care invested in supporting our school community.

Scripture reminds us:

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).

These quiet, faithful acts of generosity leave a lasting impression on a child’s school experience. Because people have chosen to give, our children are able to learn, play, and grow in environments that feel exciting, purposeful, and full of possibility.

Many feel called to support Adventist education in different ways. Some give their time. Some give prayer. Others can give financially, through one-off gifts, regular contributions, or even legacy giving. Each act of generosity helps ensure that children continue to grow in safe, nurturing, Christ-centred environments for years to come.

If you feel led to support our school projects, every contribution, large or small, goes directly towards enriching the lives of our pupils. It enables us to invest in spaces, resources, and experiences that make a tangible difference every day.

We are also pleased to welcome new families. Admissions are open from Reception through to Year 6, including our Nursery provision for two, three, and four-year-olds. We are always delighted to meet parents seeking a caring, values-led Adventist education for their children. Our school is built on partnership between families, churches, and the wider community, all united in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish.

Thank you to everyone who has already given, prayed, or supported us. Your generosity is not simply funding equipment; it is shaping childhoods, building confidence, and creating joyful spaces where children can, and do, truly thrive.
