Stanborough Primary School is a small one-form entry (3-11 years) independent Christian school, with a vision of high aspirations for all. It is nestled within the 40 acres of Stanborough Park in Watford. The school was recently graded ‘Good’ with outstanding Behaviour & Attitudes and Personal Development. Stanborough offers an exceptional environment that delivers opportunities for young learners to not only thrive happily but to become independent and active participants in their own learning. We achieve this by creating a nurturing supportive setting where children feel safe to make mistakes and challenge themselves.

We are looking for a Headteacher who will be able to build on our existing strengths, take the school to the next level, whilst bringing new energy, ideas and enthusiasm to help us grow and excel. As a Headteacher, you will be pivotal in shaping the future of our school and guiding both learners and educators towards achieving their full potential.

Our belief that "with small steps, every child can make giant progress" encapsulates our commitment to nurturing each pupil's potential.

The school’s team of dedicated, enthusiastic professionals has a strong sense of family and community; therefore, the right person is extremely important to all stakeholders.

You will bring:

A passion for education, coupled with ability and enthusiasm to see every child fulfil their potential. A caring ethos with the well-being of children and staff at heart. A visible, positive approachable presence around the school and wider community. A demonstration of proven leadership and management skills. A commitment to excellent teaching and learning for all pupils. A desire to maintain and build upon the school’s existing high standards. A clear vision for the school. A resilient, calm and clear-headed approach to problem solving. The energy and enthusiasm to drive innovation while maintaining good practice.

The full list of responsibilities detailed in the Job Description and Person Specification included in the Headteacher Candidate pack.

If you are someone who is passionate about education, possesses strong leadership skills, and is dedicated to creating an environment where both learners and staff can thrive, we invite you to consider joining Stanborough Primary School.

What we can offer:

A school that is successful and thriving, but keen to keep improving and evolving. Happy children who are confident and eager to learn. Dedicated, experienced and hard-working staff. A strong supportive leadership team. A supportive parental and wider community. Engaged and experienced governors. An active and successful PTA.
