On Sunday, 20 February 2022, the PARL Director, Dr Brighton Kavaloh of the South England Conference, led a seminar to highlight an invitation by the government on a new Bill of Rights consultation.
According to Kavaloh, the current government consultation to reform the Human Rights Act 1998 gives a window of opportunity to incorporate the "Reasonable Accommodation" legal provision in the new British Bill of Rights. He says this will facilitate a duty in law to defend Religious Liberty, for example, anyone seeking the observance of the seventh-day Sabbath from their workplace from an employer. We need to pray that only God's will be done as the case is made.
Note that the public consultation ends on 8 March. Hence the need to engage as a matter of urgency with this survey in the link below. Please complete the survey and share your voice. All British Union Conference pastors were invited to a consultation led by Dr Brighton Kavaloh on the issue. You are encouraged to confer with your local church pastor regarding the consultation.
