We were saddened to learn of the death of Pastor Ron Davey on 11 April 2021. Pastor Davey was born on the 4th of April 1932 in Aldershot. On the 19th of December 1953 he married Iris Nina Smith and their union brought about Gary, Lorrae and Kerie
Before entering denominational employment Pastor Davey worked as a Typist and Senior Clerk. He began his denominational employment as a Literature Evangelist for the North England Conference (SEC) in 1957. In 1968 he joined the South England Conference (SEC)as Assistant Publishing Director.
During this time of service in the SEC he felt called to pastoral ministry and went on to complete his studies at Newbold College after which he accepted the call to serve in the SEC as a pastor until the 31st of March 1997.
Sadly, Pastor Davey passed away peacefully on the 11th of March 2021. He leaves behind his wife, children and several grandchildren.
We now look forward to Christ's soon return and that glorious resurrection day.
