We were saddened to learn of the death of Becky De Oliveira, who passed away on 21 June 2023. Becky was born on 18 November 1971 in Enumclaw, Washington, North America.
After completing high school at Auburn Adventist Academy in 1990, Becky attended Walla Walla College where she obtained a BA in History. In 1997 Becky obtained her MA in Education from Andrews University and in 2022 obtained her PhD from the University of Northern Colorado.
On 19 March 1995 Becky married Japhet De Oliveira in Binfield, Berkshire, England and their union produced children, Joshua, and Jonah. Becky joined the British Union Conference on 1 November 2001, as a Bible marker with the Adventist Discovery Centre, until February 2005.
After fighting debilitating cancer over the past few years, she sadly lost her battle on the evening of 21 June 2023 and passed away peacefully. She will be dearly missed.
We now look forward to Christ's soon return and that glorious resurrection day.
