The British Union Conference (BUC) recently broadcast a landmark digital event, hosting the 2025 Stewardship Revival Week. Titled ‘Breakthrough Living’, the multi-part series premiered simultaneously across BUC TV, Facebook, and LinkedIn, successfully reaching audiences wherever they were connected.
Running from 29 November to 6 December, the revival week moved beyond traditional discussions of church finance to embrace a holistic view of Christian stewardship – encompassing the management of time, health, talents, and resources in a challenging economic climate.
The week-long virtual gathering featured two of the church’s most engaging communicators: Sammy Massiah, Balham church elder, and singing evangelist Robert Carr, also an elder in the Hampstead church.

Known for their practical, energetic, and biblically grounded approach to contemporary life issues, Massiah and Carr delivered challenging messages through word and song that helped viewers break free from cycles of spiritual and financial stagnation.
In one of the week’s most memorable presentations, Massiah challenged the audience to view their role with renewed purpose.
“The culture of stewardship is about diligent, focused, intentional, and courageous service to God,” Massiah declared. “We’ve been called not just to know Him, but to become employees in His company... If God said it, He would do it. He only needs us to be willing.”
Carr, leveraging his ministry as a singing evangelist, brought a unique musical element that complemented the spoken word, concluding sessions with poignant songs such as ‘When Praise Demands a Sacrifice’.

One viewer said, “By Day 3. Really thought-provoking, on all fronts. Epic. Need to get a pen and paper and consult God…”
The series was specifically commissioned to address the growing need for practical guidance on navigating modern life with faith and integrity. The purpose was to equip members with the spiritual tools necessary to experience a “breakthrough” in areas where they had previously felt limited.
Catherine Anthony Boldeau, BUC Stewardship Director, who commissioned the ‘Breakthrough Living’ series, reflected on the initiative’s focus on empowerment rather than obligation.
“We recognised a pressing need within our community to move beyond mere survival mode and truly thrive in every aspect of life,” Boldeau said. “‘Breakthrough Living’ was commissioned to provide practical, biblically rooted tools to shatter limitations. Stewardship is too often misunderstood as simply fundraising; we wanted to reclaim it as a lifestyle of wholeness and faithful management of all God has entrusted to us. I believe the dynamic, Spirit-led approaches of Sammy and Bobby acted as a catalyst for profound change in the understanding of stewardship across the Union.”
By utilising a multi-platform digital strategy across BUC TV, Facebook, and LinkedIn, the BUC maximised engagement, allowing for real-time interaction, sharing, and community building during the broadcasts.
Viewers tuned in daily for the broadcasts, engaging with a message that sought to redefine stewardship for the 21st century.
