BUC Appoints Interim Youth Director

British Union Conference

BUC Appoints Interim Youth Director

BUC Communications
27 June 2025

On 12 June 2025, the British Union Conference Executive Committee (BUC ExCom) received the final report from its Search Committee, which concluded a comprehensive process to identify a new Director for Youth Ministries. Following this, the BUC ExCom voted to appoint Pastor Njabulo ‘Njay’ Ndlovu as the Interim Director of Youth Ministries until the next BUC Session in July 2026.

We are pleased to announce that Pastor NJay has accepted this call and will officially begin his role on 1 July 2025. His appointment follows the vacancy left by Pastor Kevin Johns, who assumed the role of Associate Youth Director at the Trans-European Division in September last year.

Pastor NJay currently serves the Crieff and Dundee churches in the Central District of the Scottish Mission. A graduate of Newbold College, where he completed his master’s degree, he began his ministry serving the Aberdeen, Inverness, and Elgin district of churches.

From 2014 to mid-2024, NJay and his wife, Mthoko, served as co-sponsors for Club Ministries in Scotland. Together, they played instrumental roles in Union and Division Camporees, as well as the BUC Bible Experience finals which were hosted in Scotland in 2024. Their shared commitment to youth ministry has been marked by dedication, creativity, and deep relational engagement.

With a passion for contextualised youth work, NJay brings a thoughtful approach to ministry – often reflecting on the importance of both learning and unlearning in service. His earlier experience in youth leadership spans local church and broader organisational levels in both Zimbabwe and England before his move to Scotland.

We look forward to the leadership, energy, and spiritual insight that Pastor NJay will bring to the BUC’s Youth Ministries in this interim capacity.
