Our British Union Conference (BUC) Women’s Ministries Department continues to acknowledge Seventh-day Adventist women who are positively impacting their communities. We continue this series by spotlighting Cynthia Osei-Owusu – Consultant and Director of People and Culture, award-winning HR professional, school governor, media producer and broadcaster, writer, entrepreneur, community advocate, philanthropist, and servant leader.
SPM: Cynthia, please give us a glimpse into your calling.
Cynthia: My professional journey and ministry breathe together. I have served in senior HR leadership roles, including Union Chair, stewarding dignity, fairness, and culture transformation to enable people and purpose to flourish.
My work spans the full remit of a People and Culture function – from employee relations and organisational development to leadership, wellbeing, performance, and safer recruitment. This quiet yet transformative ministry shapes livelihoods, dignity, belonging, and growth. Done well, it reaches far beyond process; it protects, restores, and heals. My commitment is to lead with courage, compassion, justice, and integrity – stewarding systems with excellence and nurturing souls with grace.
Alongside this, the ministry remains foundational. I launched Thursday Night Live at Kennington Community Fellowship church. On this Spirit-filled, creative worship platform, music, comedy, drama, and praise drew hearts into joy and a sense of belonging. Serving with the South England Conference Women's Ministries team has deepened my calling to help women stand boldly in their God-given identity and purpose.

SPM: How have you sensed God leading?
Cynthia: God leads through whispers, conviction, stillness, and surrender. There have been seasons of movement and seasons of holy pause – each one a classroom for trust.
In one of those sacred pauses, God birthed HR Doula, a marketplace ministry advocating for people with compassion, ethics, accountability, emotional intelligence, and justice. It stands as proof that obedience brings clarity, and when purpose leads, God provides.
SPM: How has this shaped your ministry in the church?
Cynthia: I have supported church leadership in strengthening policy, safeguarding, governance, and organisational culture – helping to cultivate environments grounded in wellbeing, transparency, and accountability. As a governor in Adventist education, I have championed safe and development-focused settings where staff and pupils can thrive with dignity and protection.
SPM: And your media ministry?
Cynthia: Media has been a God-appointed assignment – a gift entrusted to me and developed over more than 20 years, continually expanding for His purpose.
Through ministries such as Revelation XP Media Group, 144 Productions, IN2G TV, Splash Radio, Adventist Radio London, and the IN2G TV Podcast, I have produced and presented innovative, Spirit-led programmes that point hearts to Jesus and build community. Highlights include Camp Meeting broadcasts and the pioneering breakfast show Joy. This work has shown me that the gospel can be reimagined creatively – meeting hearts where they are and leading them to Christ.

SPM: You also write a devotional. How did that begin?
Cynthia: Daily Inspiration for Your Soul began as a quiet nudge from God to share devotionals with a few hearts. It grew through testimonies and is now becoming a published devotional book and mobile app designed to strengthen spiritual life and community.
This journey traces back to our wedding emblem – The House of Osei-Owusu – bearing the Armour of God and the Twi call “dɔ Onyame da biara” (“love God every day”). A symbol that became a seed and a covenant God is still unfolding.
SPM: Tell us about OwariKids.
Cynthia: OwariKids celebrates culture and childhood wonder through handcrafted toys, cultural intelligence, and the Owari games app. For me, entrepreneurship is ministry in motion – rooted in faith, service, and impact.

SPM: What message would you share with women on their life journey?
Cynthia: Beloved woman of God,
Lead from purpose, not pressure.
You are not behind – God is preparing you.
Rise. Serve. Shine.
You were created for such a time as this.
SPM: Cynthia, thank you for sharing your journey of servant leadership with us. May God continue to abundantly bless you in all that He has called you to do.
Cynthia’s life reminds us that ministry is not confined to pulpits. God places His daughters in boardrooms, classrooms, media studios, homes, and communities – wherever His light is needed. May every woman walk boldly, build with excellence, stand in grace, and love God every day – “dɔ Onyame da biara” – trusting the One who equips, appoints, and anoints.
