On Sunday, 11 January, ADRA-UK joined pastors, elders, and church leaders at the South England Conference (SEC) Evangelism Expo – a flagship gathering aimed at equipping local churches for mission in a modern, multicultural world.
Over 29,000 members worship across 200+ churches, making the South England Conference the most ethnically diverse Conference in the global Adventist Church. This diversity strengthens the Conference and brings a sacred responsibility – to serve with compassion, justice, and love in practical, visible, and transformative ways.
Throughout the day, ADRA-UK engaged attendees at its exhibition stand and demonstrated how humanitarian action and gospel mission go hand in hand. ADRA translates God’s love into action – from crisis response to community development – supporting the vulnerable, restoring dignity, and empowering churches to serve their communities more effectively.

The Expo also offered an opportunity to highlight the role of local ADRA Ambassadors – church members who serve as ADRA’s link between local congregations and national initiatives. Ambassadors access a welcome pack, mission training resources, and a supportive network to mobilise church involvement and increase community impact. Churches appoint an ADRA Ambassador, and, where possible, an ADRA Youth Ambassador to work alongside them. Once appointed, ambassadors register with ADRA-UK to receive these benefits and broader mission-focused support.

ADRA-UK’s presence at the SEC Expo underscored that the mission is more than preaching. As churches serve diverse communities, ADRA-UK continues to support and inspire them to live out compassion, love, and justice.
