ADRA-UK Welcomes New Team Members

Sandra Golding, ADRA-UK CEO

We’re excited to introduce two new team members who bring a wealth of expertise to ADRA-UK. Petrian Menzies, our new Stakeholder Engagement Manager, and Abigel Gordon, our new Communications Officer, joined us at the end of January 2025.

Both roles are vital to advancing ADRA-UK’s mission, strengthening our connections, and enhancing the visibility of the ADRA brand within churches, schools, the wider community, etc. Petrian and Abigel will play pivotal roles in supporting our work, and we’re thrilled to have them on board.

Petrian Menzies – Stakeholder Engagement Manager

Petrian Menzies

Petrian’s professional journey has been centred on Marketing, Promotions, and Community Engagement across both the private and public sectors. With over 15 years of experience in the banking industry, she has cultivated a deep understanding of strategic outreach and development. She holds a BA in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of the West Indies (Mona Campus, Jamaica) and an MA in International Development from Brunel University (London, UK).

Petrian shares, “I am truly delighted to be joining ADRA-UK and to contribute to its inspiring mission, ministry, and work—serving humanity ‘so all may live as God intended’. This role is deeply fulfilling as it aligns with my personal ethos and values, allowing me to apply my knowledge, skills, and experience to further the work of the Church. It is a privilege to be Jesus’ hands and feet, serving others on a global scale.”

She continues, “It is humbling to know that every strategy developed, every plan implemented, and every donation received directly impacts the lives of those in need. I am excited to collaborate with donors and supporters to continue this incredible mission—changing lives, restoring hope, and making a tangible difference for women, men, and children in our communities and beyond.”

 Abigel Gordon – Communications Officer

Abigel comes to ADRA from the voluntary and social sciences sector with a BA in Sociology.

Abigel states, “I’m honoured to join the ADRA team, and I look forward to raising awareness about their projects’ impact. I joined ADRA because of its purpose of serving humanity so that all may live as God intended, which aligns with my values, and I want an opportunity to serve others through the work that I’m a part of.

“It has been a long-term goal of mine to work in the humanitarian sector, and it is highly fulfilling to know that I can contribute to serving people in communities all over the world and encouraging more people to come together to change lives.”

As the CEO of ADRA-UK, I believe it’s essential to have dedicated team members who are passionate about engaging with the Church and the wider community. Their commitment helps us make a meaningful difference in the lives of the vulnerable communities we serve.

The ADRA-UK team and I are excited to collaborate with Petrian and Abigel. Together, we will share powerful stories about our work and highlight the incredible impact made possible by the generosity of our supporters.

We kindly ask for your prayers for the ADRA-UK team and the wider global ADRA Network. Your support uplifts us as we strive to show compassion, change lives, inspire hope, advocate for the voiceless, and be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world.

Thank you for being part of this mission.
